When my dear friend, Dana of Colt and Lamb Quilt Co., reached out and asked if I'd be interested in testing her very first quilt pattern, it was an easy and immediate, "YES!" I try to say yes to pattern testing as much as I can, especially when it's someone who has tested for me before. It just feels like good Karma and I think, as a designer, it's a really valuable practice to see other styles of pattern writing.
I made the kid size version of the pattern with Kona Ballet Slipper, Pickle, Corsage, and Creamsicle.
It sewed up so quickly with it's big blocks and strip pieced units! I'm so thrilled with how it turned out and I can't wait to quilt it up! It's available to color on QuiltInk. Here are some of the mock-ups I made:
